Saudi Aramco signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) and the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTH) to establish the National Training Center for Facilities and Hospitality Management (NTCFHM), which aims to develop and prepare Saudi youth to work in the management and operation of public and private service facilities as well as the tourism and hotel sector jobs in the Kingdom.

Mohammad A. Al Shammary, executive director of Community Services, said: «We are proud to cooperate with TVTC and SCTH in this project which fosters localization of one of the Kingdom's most promising sectors. In line with Saudi Vision 2030, the project aims to promote local citizens' engagement in management and operation of facilities and hospitality, such as universities, governmental complexes, shopping malls, tourist resorts and hotels.»

In line with the National Transformation Program 2020, NTCFHM will invest in the potential of the facilities and hospitality management sector to create jobs for highly-qualified nationals through provision of internationally accredited training programs with the target of reaching training capacity for 5000 male and female trainees over the next four years. The Center will also offer three training streams: Diploma Stream for high school graduates without prior practical experience; Specialized Programs Stream to meet companies' requirements; and the Accreditation and Development Stream for employees. It will be managed by a Board of Trustees comprised of members representing the signatories to the MoU.

Saudi Aramco's participation in this project comes as a part of the Corporate Citizenship efforts and programs which aim to train and develop Saudi citizens to engage in jobs and disciplines that utilize their capabilities and skills and benefit the community and the Kingdom's economy.
