Bahrain's leading digital communications services provider Batelco has added 11 new international networks to its data roaming packages to boost its services for customers ahead of the holiday season.
The great value roaming packages are now available for Batelco's customers in 60 locations including popular destinations such as the UK, France, Spain, Italy, Indonesia and Turkey, said a statement from the company.
The bolt-ons, which start from only BD5 ($13.26), are available for postpaid and prepaid customers to meet their requirement for lower priced data services while roaming across the GCC and a number of global destinations with speeds up to 4G, it said.
Customers who subscribe to the 'Data Roaming Bolt On' pay a standard fixed one-day or seven-day fee based on their choice of package.
The range of packages includes one day with 1GB roaming in the GCC for only BD5 ($13.26) and seven days with 5GB roaming in the GCC for only BD10 ($26.51). For worldwide destinations, customers can benefit from 1GB roaming for only BD20 ($53.02) for seven days, it added.
The full list of countries and respective providers is available on the company's site and new locations are added regularly, said a statement.
On the new offer, Batelco Bahrain CEO Muna Al Hashemi said: "We are committed to transforming the lives of our customers; enabling them to connect, work and live better through the delivery of cutting-edge, technology-based products and solutions."
The data roaming bolt-on removes the worry about surprise bills due to additional roaming charges. This is a great benefit for customers allowing them to relax and enjoy all their favourite applications and communication tools at a fixed price. Once the package limit is reached, the data service will automatically stop, she stated.
"The service enables our customers to enjoy great value rates when using data services on the go," she added.
