Emaar on Sunday said it will start releasing units for 17 Icon Bay, its latest residential project at the six square-kilometer Dubai Creek Harbor being developed in a joint venture with Dubai Holding.

Construction of the 41-story tower is expected to be completed by May 2021. Emaar has earlier unveiled other residential projects including Creek Gate, Harbor Gate, The Cove, Creekside 18, Dubai Creek Residences, Harbor Views and Creek Horizon at Dubai Creek Harbor. The centerpiece of the development is Dubai Creek Tower, which at 928 meters is set to stand 100 meters higher than Burj Khalifa.

Emaar in its website said that the 17 Icon Bay will offer "views of Burj Khalifa and the wildlife sanctuary" and will offer amenities including a private pool, a fitness center, a children's play area and a landscaped leisure deck.

"Anchored to the Central Park, the neighborhood provides seamless access to lush green spaces where one can savor life with family and friends."

Emaar will releasing to the public one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments starting August 29, with units measuring between 70 square meters and 155 square meters.

The Dubai developer has also announced the payment plan for the residential project: buyers would pay 5 percent of a unit's cost upon purchase; followed by a 5 percent installment on December 25, 2017; a 10 percent installment each by June and December 2018 and May and December 2019, and a 15 percent installment by July 2020 when the construction is about 75 percent complete. The balance of the purchase price is to be paid on May 2021, the scheduled date of completion of 17 Icon Bay.
