Ooredoo and the Qatar Business Incubation Centre (QBIC) have launched a host of master classes on innovation, entrepreneurship, and intrapreneurship, as part of their 'Digital and Beyond' joint venture.
'Digital and Beyond' is a specialised incubator, powered by Ooredoo, in collaboration with QBIC, to facilitate start-ups and new technology-focused businesses in Qatar.
The first master class, 'Getting Started as a Tech Start-Up CEO', took place at Ooredoo's HQ1 building in two sessions. The first session was attended by employees from Ooredoo as part of the organisations' investment in intrapreneurship, and the second by external and public guests, with the later session focusing on entrepreneurship.
The class examined the product development road-map for technology entrepreneurs, along with the steps needed for developing software or applications, identifying the skills required, and exploring new and emerging technologies that make work easier for CEOs.
Ooredoo CEO Waleed Mohamed al-Sayed said: "Providing increased opportunities for talented entrepreneurs is a key part of the Qatar National Vision 2030's human development goals.
"Ooredoo's support for Digital and Beyond's master classes will exchange global best practices to business leaders, the general public, and our employees, as we support the next generation of Qatari leaders. I'm happy to announce that this first session has been a huge success and we look forward to helping host more classes in the near future."
QBIC CEO Aysha al-Mudahka said: "We've launched the master classes, in partnership with Ooredoo, to help teach entrepreneurs that developing a product or solution is only one piece of the puzzle of leading a successful tech start-up.
"The Digital and Beyond's Master Classes will tackle the most pressing business needs facing tech start-ups in Qatar, and support knowledge exchange, talent development, and diversified economic growth. What better subject to start on than 'Getting Started as a Tech Start-Up CEO'."
Business customers can leverage the Ooredoo Advantage - Ooredoo's breadth and depth of talent, best fixed and mobile networks, broadest portfolio of ICT services and solutions, and trusted partner for Qatari businesses for 60 years.
