Ooredoo yesterday announced that it has successfully achieved two ISO certifications for Integrated Management and Quality Management Systems awarded by Bureau Veritas. The first certification for the Integrated Management System (ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and OHSAS 18001:2007) and a second certificate for the Quality Management System - Bids & Project (ISO 9001:2015), further positions Ooredoo as a leading Telecom and ICT provider in the region, and demonstrates the company's push to operate according to industry recognised standards.

To achieve compliance with the globally-recognised ISO certification, Ooredoo had to demonstrate its processes to an independent external auditor, to ensure that they are being executed based on documented policies, procedures and work instructions.

Impressively, the scope of the first ISO certificates covers: Provision of public telecommunications networks, products and services in the State of Qatar including fixed and mobile domestic and international telephony, international gateway facilities and call handling services, data network services including broadband for both fixed and mobile Internet, leased lines, VSAT networks and services, Tetra and value added services over fixed and mobile networks, telecommunication equipment and ancillary services.

The scope of the second certificate covers: Bid management, design, project management and execution and technical quality assurance of telecom and information and communication technology projects. Talking about the milestone, Yousuf Al Kubaisi, COO of Ooredoo Qatar, said: "These certificates demonstrate our world-class process capability, ability as a leading ICT and telecom solution provider and commitment to continuous improvement. This achievement is all part of our vision to offer the best customer service and we're proud to be one of the first organisations in the region to be awarded the newest version of the International Standard ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015."
