Ooredoo, a leading telecom provider, has joined hands with Dar Al Atta'a to sponsor the ongoing 18th annual Small and Medium Entrepreneurs Forum, being held in Muscat, Oman.
The three-day event will conclude on June 2, at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Around 120 participants from across the sultanate are attending the event and all entry fees will be donated to families in need, said a statement from the company.
Ooredoo will also be providing one of the graduates of its skill-enhancing incubator programmes with the opportunity to exhibit their own products during the event, it said.
Ooredoo's incubator programme has provided the skills and training needed to help women boost their careers or start up their own businesses to help grow local talent and the economy, it added.
Raed Dawood, director of government relations and corporate affairs, said: "As a company firmly focused on bringing value to the communities we serve, we are proud to collaborate with Dar Al Atta'a to provide SMEs with an opportunity to raise their profile and subsequently support the underprivileged."
"By simply attending the event, visitors will be able to make a contribution in the form of the entrance fee, which will provide those in need with brand new clothes to celebrate Eid," he added.
