Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) has signed an agreement with MVM Hungarian Electricity Groups develop researches in the field of electric energy generation, traditional and renewable energy, training and developing projects.

The cooperation agreement was signed in Riyadh by Khalid bin Abdulrahman Al-Tuaimi, executive vice president for Power Generation at the Saudi Electricity Company, and from Hungarian side, by Dr Janos ZSUGA, chief executive officer of MVM Groups, in the presence of Lehil Sezarabca, CEO of MVM Groups for International Relations

The ceremony was also attended by Khalid Al-Rashid, executive president of Saudi Electricity Company for Project Development, a subsidiary of SEC.

Al-Tuaimi highlighted that the aim of the cooperation agreement is to set out a comprehensive framework of international cooperation for both the giant companies in relation to all technical, research, development, generation of traditional and renewable energy and training.

This will also include development of leadership skills, project development inside and outside Saudi Arabia and ways to take advantage of engineering services between the two companies, as well as experience exchange and application of the best technologies and international practices.

Al-Tuaimi also said that the cooperation agreement comes within the efforts and plans of the ambitious generation processes activity in application of the accelerated strategic transformation programme launched by the Saudi Electricity Company since the beginning of the year 2014.

Moreover, this agreement, and the other similar agreements, also boosts cooperation in technical and training fields between the Saudi Electricity Company and the leading international companies in line with orientation and aspiration of KSA vision of 2030 and to serve expectations and ambitions of this vital sector which will contribute at raising reliability of the electricity sector in the Kingdom.

SEC has signed many agreements and partnerships related to research and training with various international companies in the field of electric energy industry with the aim to transfer experience and modern technologies. The company also sends national cadres of engineers and technicians to many specialized companies and scientific institutes in the US, Europe and others. -
