MOBILY took the winners in #Mobily_Hackthon competition to the source of technology, Silicon Valley, San Francisco, USA, with the collaboration of Elite Youth Programs, the competition participant sponsor. The team members of "Fan App" were the winners of best App in this competition, where they traveled for one week to Silicon Valley. The trip was full of various activities, like visiting many international companies (Google, Facebook, Intel, Uber, Airbnb) to benefit from their experiences through various workshops. Another activity is visiting companies that support 500 startup businesses in different fields, which comply with 2030 Vision by enriching the youth knowledge and skills through opening the door of investment for small and medium enterprises.
The trip also included visits to entertaining and tourism and education places and activities like the Computer History Museum, Intel Museum, Stanford University, Draper University, and others.
The workshops discussed different topics like international entrepreneurship, mobile technology, strategic business planning, design strategies, international expansion and accessing American market, marketing and public relations, how to present your idea to investors, and many other workshops and useful visits.
The winning App team included entrepreneur Mohammed Ismail, and developers. Ramadan Mustafa, Mohammed Alkamel, Khaled Alzugbi, and designer Muammar Alkamel. They created an application featuring all local sport clubs fans, and share their point of views, activities, and news among the club fans themselves combined with statistics and analysis.
Mobily Hackthon application competition comes in the company's framework of supporting Arabic content Apps by holding it annually, and which aims toward smartphones Apps developers through Mobily Application Society.
