Dr. Abdulaziz Salem Al-Rwais, Governor of the Communication and Information Technology Commission (CITC), praised the new Zain Technology Center, following the opening ceremony in Zain Saudi Arabia headquarters.
The governor said "this technology center will bring added value to the company's customers and the public in general. This center with its technologies and applications indicates a brighter technical future, which I expect to reflect positively on the company's success."
During the visit, the governor met the Zain Executive Leadership Team and other senior directors. Discussions focused on Zain's efforts in achieving the objectives of the National Transformation Program 2020 and Vision 2030. Zain highlighted its plans and initiatives to achieve these objectives, by developing its technical infrastructure and providing better customer experience.
Peter Kaliaropoulos, Zain Saudi Arabia Chief Executive Officer, said "it's a great pleasure to receive the governor of CITC to discuss important topics in the market today. We understand our obligations as a national digital pioneer, and we look forward to play our roles in realizing Vision 2030. In order to achieve this, we remain focused on creating the right customer experience, investing in our network and quality of service, supporting digital transformation and making our brand the preferred choice to customers."
Zain's Chief Technology Officer Eng. Sultan Al Deghaither said "Zain Technology Center was established as a role model to the technology's we are working to bring to the market. The center contains praxis of 5G and Internet of Things (IoT) applications, which is currently the emerging technologies in the telecom world."
"The center comes in line with our strategies to support the digital transformation of the Kingdom, and the knowledge based economy, which comes within the strategic objectives in the National Transformation Program 2020" Al Deghaither noted.
