Ahli United Bank BSC (AUB) is a public company based in Manama (Bahrain) and was established in May 2000. AUB is listed on the Bahrain Stock Exchange since February 2006. The bank engages in the provision of retail, commercial, Islamic, investment and private banking, and global fund management services. The bank became established after a merger between The United Bank of Kuwait PLC (UBK) and Al-Ahli Commercial Bank B.S.C. (ACB) pursuant to which UBK and ACB each became entirely owned subsidiaries of AUB. It is operated through a network of 110 branches, including 22 branches in the Kingdom of Bahrain; 37 branches in the Arab Republic of Egypt; 38 branches in the State of Kuwait; 11 branches in the Republic of Iraq; and 1 branch in the United Kingdom. It also operates 20 branches in the Sultanate of Oman and 11 branches in Libya through its managed associates. The company operates in four segments including: retail banking;corporate banking;treasury and investments; and Private Banking. The retail banking segment provides loans, overdrafts, residential mortgages, fund transfer, and credit cards facilities. The corporate banking segment offers deposit and current accounts for corporate and institutional customers, loans, and other credit facilities. The treasury and investments segment engages in money market, trading and treasury services, along with the management of the group's funding and investments. The private banking segment offers investment products, trusts, credit facilities, funds, and alternative investments.
