Alrai Media Group is a public company based in Kuwait City(Kuwait) and was established in December 2002. Alrai is listed on the Boursa Kuwait since October 2010. The group operates within the media sector, focusing on publishing. Its business is structured into two segments: the print media segment, which engages in the printing, distribution and publication of an Arabic language daily newspaper in Kuwait; and the visual and audio media segment, which engages actively in visual and audio, media production. Moreover, it also invests its surplus funds in portfolios managed by portfolio managers. The group also owns Alrai TV, which is the first independent and private TV station countrywide and internationallycovering the Gulf region, North Africa, South Europe and South Asia. It is a very modern, upbeat and highly professional station, while also preserving its values, traditions and integrity. It owns one of the most important websites that has received the Sheikh Salem Al Ali award for the best Kuwaiti news website for the year 2008. The company operates through its wholly owned subsidiaries, namely Al Rai Company for Strategic Studies WLL, Publisher Printing Press Company WLL, Al Rai United Publications Company WLL andAl Rai production WLL.
