Jiyad Holding Company is a public company based in Kuwait City (Kuwait), and established in September 2004. JIYAD is listed on the Boursa Kuwait since January 2011. The company is engaged in the investment of shares and stocks in Kuwaiti or non-Kuwaiti companies, and shares in Kuwaiti or non-Kuwaiti limited liability companies. It deals in owning industrial equities such as patents, industrial trademarks, royalties, or related rights, and franchises them to other companies or uses them within or outside Kuwait. The company lends money to companies in which it owns 20% or more of the capital of the borrowing company, and also acts as guarantor on behalf of these companies. It also seeks to offer varied investment opportunities in various geographical areas and sectors, by diversifying its asset portfolio to balance among maximizing the utilization of available resources, achieving the highest possible returns under the associated risks, and adding real value to the shareholders of the company. Moreover, the company also owns real estate and movable property to run its operations within the limits specified by law, and invests additional funds in investment and real estate portfolios managed by specialized companies.
