Union National Bank (UNB) was established on 29thNovember 1982 and is headquartered in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. UNB is a public joint stock company and is a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi Investment Council. The bank is based in Abu Dhabi and operates through 73 branches in the United Arab Emirates; 1 branch in the Qatar Financial Centre (Qatar); 1 branch in Kuwait; and 1 representative office in China. It is among the top banks of the United Arab Emirates, and offers banking and financial services to its individual, corporate and SME customers, through an extensive network of retail, corporate and SME offices and branches. It also provides Sharia-compliant Islamic finance and investment products; funding and foreign exchange services; structured funding solutions on syndicated and project finance transactions; correspondent banking services; asset management, equity brokerage, and merchant banking services. It operates through the 'International & Financial Institutions division' and the 'Treasury & Investments' division. The 'International and Financial Institutions' division builds and maintains all international correspondent banking partnerships and manages the international assets of the bank. The 'Treasury & Investments' division offers support to other businesses through funding and foreign exchange.
