Gulf Petroleum Investment is a public company based in Kuwait City (Kuwait) and was established in March 1998. GPI is listed on the Boursa Kuwait since June 2005, operating within the oil & gas drilling sector focusing on energy. The company mainly provides oil field services to the oil, gas, and petrochemical sectors, primarily in Kuwait, and then in the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Iraq, and Kenya. It focuses mainly on activities including: oilfield services drilling (both offshore and onshore); supply of all equipment, engineering, and consulting services for upstream and downstream related projects. It also engages in specialized advisory, technical, and economic services to governments, and oil and petrochemical companies in the fields of marketing, refining, production, investment, finance, planning, marine shipping, and training, and also in other fields related to oil and petrochemicals. It is also engaged in oil exploration outside of Kuwait, and the ownership and management of gas stations, both locally and internationally. GPI has operations in the Middle East, the Arabian Gulf, and the North African regions. It has 5 subsidiaries operating across Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Cayman Islands and Afghanistan. The company's wholly owned subsidiaries include: Al Haram International Drilling Company Ltd, and Al Haram Drilling Company, among others.
